In Memory of Paco de Lucía: The Afro Latin Jazz Alliance is pleased to present the US premiere of the music documentary, ‘Guitarra de Palo, directed by Andrea Zapata-Girau and co-produced by Andrea Zapata-Girau and Anton Jimenez, with live performances by some of today’s leading flamenco players, including trumpeter/percussionist Jerry Gonzalez, guitarist Antón Jiménez, flutist Jorge Pardo, blues-flamenco guitarist Raimundo Amador, bass player Javier Colina, percussionist Israel Suárez “Piraña”, flamenco singer Rafita Jiménez and flamenco dancer David Paniagua. This not-to-be-missed film is highlighted by its stunning cinematography and sound design, the work of Goya Winner’s (Spain’s Academy Awards) Pelayo Gutiérrez and Nacho Royo-Villanova.
