Cubadisco 2020-2021 · May 15 to 23 in Havana

Cubadisco is the most important international fair of the Cuban music recording industry. Each year is dedicated to a country and a musical genre, in addition, it pays tribute to personalities and artists with outstanding creative work in the field of Cuban music.

Each year the Instituto Cubano de la Música [Cuban Institute of Music] and the Comité Permanente de la Feria Internacional Cubadisco [Standing Committee of the Cubadisco International Fair] convene the annual Cubadisco contest. During the Fair, specialized conferences, exhibitions, colloquia, concerts are offered, new record productions are presented, as well as a wide musical program in different theaters and halls of Havana, where Cuban and foreign groups and interpreters participate.

Cubadisco is a good occasion to appreciate the record catalogs, with more than 2500 titles of the best Cuban music; appreciate live outstanding entertainment companies of the highest level; to hold meetings between collectors and experts from the music industry, between record companies, music publishers, manufacturers of musical instruments, designers and directors of specialized magazines.

This year the editions of the past 2020 [which was canceled due to the pandemic] and 2021 will be held together. Given the current circumstances, the event will be held virtually, with the guest country being Spain.
