With four exquisite recordings to her credit, Brazilian pianist Bianca Gismonti has toured extensively interweaving her own compositions with an ongoing exploration of the repertoire of her father, the great composer, pianist and guitarist Egberto Gismonti.

OKAN + Guaracha y Son - A night of Cuban Jazz and Son

OKAN: Women-led Afro-Cuban roots & jazz taking their name from the word for heart or soul in the Afro-Cuban religion of Santeria, OKAN fuses Afro-Cuban roots with jazz, soul and global rhythms in songs about immigration, bravery and love.

The 2019 LULAWORLD festival is supported by the Toronto Arts Council, The Ontario Arts Council, Ontario Creates, Canada Council and Canadian Heritage.
